Podcast are great. They fill up time that may otherwise be wasted, for example in commute time or waiting time. I listen to a wide-range of podcast and here are my top 6 podcast that I think you should check out this summer.

Ted Radio Hour

Many people know about TED talks but a lot fewer people know that there is a TED Radio hour podcast. The podcast focuses on one idea per episode and it is often about common themes but with fresh perspectives. They always refers to different TED talks and often discuss the idea with the TED speaker. I love this podcast because it brings up ideas I am aware of but TED radio hour discusses with new perspectives that I would never thought of.

The James Altucher show

James Altucher is an entrepreneur and writer who also has an podcast. In his podcast he interviews interesting and famous people like Malcolm Gladwell and Tony Robbins. The podcast is laidback, engaging and full of tips.

Philosophize this!

If you are interested in philosophy this is the podcast for you. This podcast discusses common philosophical concepts and philosophers. And as the podcaster says It is a great introduction for newbies and he breaks down complicated concepts and explain them.

Freakonomics

They answer everyday questions that you always wondered about or questions you have not even asked because you never thought you could question it. Either way this podcast discovers interesting topics and you always learn something new and exciting. This one is a really fun podcast where you get super fascinated by the talks.

Hardcore History

Interested in history and want to be seem as extremely educated? Then this podcast suits you. I have never been a big fan of history but Dan Carlin has changed that. He makes history seem so interesting. He is great at storytelling and his voice is engaging and confident. His podcasts are about three hours long and he really goes into depth in different historical events. He draws parallels and also explains the history behind a situation. I remember that I learned stuff that not even my history teacher knew about.

The naked scientists

In this podcast they talk about science and they answer questions from the audience. It also interviews different scientists depending on the topic they are discussing. I like because it is a casual conversation so it makes it easier to really understand what they are talking about. It has been awarded many times.
