Where should you go to in Colombia

Colombia may not be a place where it comes to peoples mind to go to. All the fame that it has for the drugs and also it being a third world country. But Colombia is such an amazing place, it's a place full of culture and amazing people. It's home to one of the most friendliest people. The weather is lovely as it's usually about 23 degrees in the capital every day and as you go to different places in Colombia the temperature changes. I'm going to tell you some places that I would suggest you going if you visit Colombia.

Bogota

Bogota is the capital of Colombia and is full of culture, it's filled with amazing parks and there are so many museums. For example there is 'El museo de oro' 'The museum of gold', 'Museo de Fernando Botero' 'The museum of Fernando Botero', both of which are amazing to visit and definitely would recommend going. Although the bad reputation it has, Bogota is a beautiful city with it's bad side like any capital but should be overlooked due to its's charisma it gives.

Cartagena

Cartagena is a modern port city on Colombia’s Caribbean coast. At its core is the walled Old Town, with 16th-century plazas, cobblestone streets and colorful colonial buildings. With a tropical climate, the city is a popular beach destination. Reachable by boat are the nearby shores of Isla de Barú and Islas del Rosario, known for their coral reefs and scuba diving. The island of Barú is a very common place for vacation to go to as there is a resort there where it's amazing to go to just to relieve your mind and enjoy the weather and the place. Cartagena is filled with history and is the most visited tourist place in the country.

San Andrés

San Andrés is known for its English-Caribbean wooden architecture due to the invasion of the British in 1627. It also is an amazing place to scuba dive and snorkel all around the island due to it's clear waters. It has amazing temperature and is a different but really good place to go to in the Caribbean. There are islands also very near to San Andrés which is good as you can take a boat and explore the places.

And don't get swept up with all the other things people say about Colombia, don't believe people until you see it yourself, and chances are, whatever the do say about Colombia is all media and rumours they get from people or the internet.
